About this item: The U.S. Army spec issued MultiCam Boonie Cap features an adjustable chin strap for tight or loose fits depending on preference and mission requirements. The 50% Nylon/50% Cotton Rip-Stop fabric offers moisture-wicking properties and long-term durability. Rim branch loops are included for affixing identification or camouflage elements.

The hats are quarpel treated for water repellency. The Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP), originally code named Scorpion W2, has been adopted by the United States Army as the main camouflage pattern for uniforms, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage and Multi Cam patterns.

The United States Air Force is also transitioning to this pattern based on positive feedback from airmen who wore the uniform while deployed to Afghanistan with Army soldiers. Previously only available for Government contract purchase orders, the Scorpion pattern has been released for commercial sales since late August 2018.
